Tips

If using baby food for the mashed carrot, ensure it’s plain with no added ingredients. I like to use Gerber stage 2 foods, each container is just under half a cup.

Choose a creamy peanut butter without added sugars or artificial sweeteners, your dog won’t miss the sugar, and it’s much healthier.

Line your baking sheet with parchment paper for easier cleanup.

The best part about homemade dog treats is that you can adjust their size based on how big your dog is. Make the treats smaller for small dogs. Larger dogs can have larger treats (though there is nothing wrong with giving them small treats too).

Always consult your vet before introducing new foods, especially if your dog has food allergies or dietary restrictions.

Storage and Shelf Life

These no-bake treats must be stored in the refrigerator, as they contain fresh ingredients.

Keep them in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 7 days.

For longer storage, freeze them for up to 3 months in a freezer-safe container or bag.

If frozen, allow treats to thaw before serving them to your dog.
