Ingredients

Making banana watermelon dog treats at home is easy with only 2 ingredients.
- 2 cups seedless watermelon, chopped
- 1 ripe banana
- ½ cup water
Directions
First, prep your ingredients by chopping your watermelon, removing any seeds you find, and peeling the banana.

Then, place the watermelon, banana, and water into the blender or food processor.

Blend until smooth.

Then pour or spoon the mixture into ice cube trays or silicone molds. I like to use these cute paw and bone-shaped silicone molds for smaller treats, and these paw-shaped molds are also great if you want a larger treat.
Once the molds are filled, place them into the freezer and let them set for at least 4 hours. I prefer to leave mine overnight to make sure they are as frozen solid as they will get.

Finally, remove the frozen treats from the molds.

Don’t forget to give one to your dog!

Both of my dogs agree, treat time is the best time of the day!
The remaining treats should be stored in an airtight container, like a freezer bag, and placed back into the freezer.
These treats thaw quickly and should be kept frozen until you give them to your dog.
Note: Check with your veterinarian before giving any new foods to your dog. This is especially important if your dog has allergies, food sensitivities, or other health concerns.
Tips for Making the Perfect Frozen Dog Treats
Placing the silicone molds on a baking sheet before filling them makes it easier to carry them to the freezer.
While I prefer using silicone molds and ice cube trays, you can make frozen dog treats in any freezer-safe container, including paper cups.
Make the treats an appropriate size for your dog, making smaller treats for smaller dogs.
If you only have one size mold, you can adjust the size of these treats by not filling the molds as full.
You can use a food processor, an immersion blender, or a regular blender to make these treats, you just need it to get to a slushie consistency.
Make sure to remove the entire rind from the watermelon. The rind is not safe for dogs to eat as it can be a choking hazard, difficult to digest, and cause an intestinal blockage.
